What we need here are more clouds, so herewith the first listing in the official FarrFeed New Mexico Cloud Index. Does anything jump out at you here?

Those damn jets

Exactly: the diagonal streaks are wind-smeared contrails (condensation trails) from commercial jetliners. This is just from a few planes on Saturday morning in a fairly isolated area. No way can you say these don’t cut back on sunlight and affect the climate. You probably remember that the skies over North America were described as “unusually clear” when all flights were grounded for a few days after 9/11. What gives anyone the right to do this to our air?

Not sure if you saw “Aerosol Crimes” playing here in town recently; (I missed it, so I can’t really vouch). But I spoke with some folks who DID see it, and, like most good “Conspiracy Theories”, these contrails don’t just end at the ass-end of a 757; they go much deeper. Here’s just one site I found on the subject. http://www.carnicom.com/contrails.htm
