Absolutely Perfect

The weather was otherwordly fine today. I don’t know any other way to get it across. And then this evening I saw this:

UFO vortex in sunset cloud

It was mostly sunny today with lots of clouds and thunderstorms around, but at a distance. There were long extended periods of bright sun, cool air, a nice breeze, and huge curtains of blue rain off somewhere else. I saw rain clouds hanging over the Sangres for the longest time, while the sun was shining here. Standing outside and looking over at that was like having waterfront property. There was just something more to it all. Maybe it was the energy, the tension between the sunny dryness and the cold rain falling in the distance, or having these in balance.

In the morning, the air coming in the kitchen window was downright cold but somehow tolerable. I love it when all the windows are open on a beautiful morning and it’s way too cool, but you leave things that way because you know the day will warm up soon. It brings the outdoors into your home, gives the place a summer house or camping-out sort of feel. And if your feet are too cold, just go outside and sit in the sun.

That’ll fix ya.
