No Heat Wave Here, etc.

That’s right, in fact it’s downright chilly. They say the high today was 84, but you couldn’t prove it by me. It rained most of the afternoon, heavy rain for quite a long time, the kind of thing you don’t usually see here. Meanwhile, my sister-in-law in Dubuque locked her keys in the car at the mall. It was 101 degrees…

More catching up: I’m finally finishing the photo album for a client’s Web site. His name is Roger Landes, and he’s an incredible musician. The first gallery of photos is here, featuring mostly some old family shots and early gig photos. I gave up trying to get Photoshop’s handy Web photo album templates to play nice with the site design and decided to build this one by hand. It takes much more time, but the payoff is individuality and elegance.

WHOA! I just learned that Lou Reed will be at the Sante Fe Opera Theater on September 16. Okay, that’s enough excitement for one post.

Dave, it’s up to 72 degrees here now, with the sun shining. I may have to take a cold bath to get some relief.

And BTW, your painting now occupies a place of honor over the window by my workstation. My wife and I both like it very much. I’ll post a picture here on FarrFeed as soon as I can get to it!
