What Ben Tripp says! If you don’t read this guy, you might appreciate being informed of his existence. Here’s an excerpt from his Square in the Nuts blog:
We could have enough, the real kind of enough, easily enough. America could spend half what it does on war and war machinery, and there would be so much money we’d have to mow our wallets. Just one example. But it doesn’t go that way, because the 1% at the tippy top wants not just more than enough, they want everything. All of it. They want every particle of ‘enough’ to belong to them. So instead we are rushing and rushing here in America, struggling like salmon trying to get upstream of a mighty river for some nookie, only to discover someone has put dams across the river, and is pumping untreated crap into it, and yet still we swim, because we don’t know what the hell else to do.
