Onward

Stop me before I write that awful stuff again. It’s how I cope intellectually, you know. But this is the real deal. I shot it around noon Friday from the road heading down from Los Alamos to Española.

Meanwhile, back to the truth

Look at those clouds sliding by on an ocean of air. You wouldn’t believe how it felt that day, the kind of windy 60 degrees that wakes up every cell in your body… Way out there is a valley where the Rio Grande flows (left to right). If you follow the Sangre de Cristos in the far distance from right to left however, you’ll be taking your eyes north and on to Taos. This is how I reconnect. This is my faith and my allegiance. This is my planet, my home.

These are the times that try men’s souls.

But beauty like this restoreth our souls.
