Well, it’s like this…
Tim Robertson over at MyMac.com is putting the finishing touches on MyMac’s 100th podcast and asked a bunch of us to say a little something about what Macs mean to me, etc. Said we could record a message on the MyMac Skype number or else send an MP3. I decided my Recordo-Hat™ (old gimme cap on backwards with attached binaural mics at ear level) and the bulletproof Sony mini-disk recorder were the way to go, went next door to my wife’s studio, picked up my Guild 12-string, and recorded four minutes of spontaneous nonsense, then sent it on to Tim.
Have no idea what if anything he’ll use, but you can listen to the raw product here if you’ve a mind. About 3.9 MB, MP3. Nothing the least bit professional, just fun stuff, totally spontaneous, first take, TONS of “mistakes,” no editing. Haven’t figured out yet how to do a “real” podcast myself, but I know I want to. Might run it at MyMac.com later, who knows.
UPDATE: Duh. WordPress automatically creates an attachment for the RSS feed if I link to an audio file, as in this post. A dedicated podcast feed is something else but easy to do. Hang in there.

I think your improv piece nicely captures the zeitgeist of the mac experience. The 12 string sounds great too.
Why, thank you. That’s just the response I hoped I’d get. And this was done without ANY prep. I didn’t even try to get the best guitar sound. Next time…
That Guild 12 string sounds real good. Always wonder what you sounded like too! I’m a “Gibson” guy my self.1946 vintage model dad bought just before I was born.Like a Mac, quality stuff lasts forever.
