Ahh…

in Blogs, politics, War

Even without a teevee watching habit to indulge, I’ve gone 48 hours without keeping up with the usual blogs. Am I actually becoming weaned? Last night I didn’t check on any of them for the first time in memory.

Has the war gone away? No. Will the Democrats stop this one or the next one? NO! Will Bush wreak more havoc in the next year than he’s done in the last six? I won’t dignify that one with an answer. Will blogs make a difference? I seriously doubt it of the progressive political genre, but you never know. Other writers might crack open a few skulls. Check out Arthur Silber, for instance. A solid post from earlier today is entitled “The Unspeakable Horror of What We Have Done,” much of it quoting Riverbend, the female Iraqi blogger.

My “ahh” isn’t about the state of the world, then, but ya gotta start someplace.
