The Sandias

in Art, Nature, New Mexico

Those are the mountains just east of Albuquerque. KNME-TV (New Mexico PBS) has produced an hour-long film called “The Sandias” that I just watched. It’s very good. Fortunately, you can also watch it on your computer right here.

The mountain vistas are extraordinary, by the way, and stay tuned until the very end. There’s one impossibly glorious scene and some great editing, too. Several different narrators were spontaneously rendered all but speechless by the beauty of their outdoor locations — while the cameras were rolling, naturally — and these separate moments are woven together just before a long shot that made me shout out loud.

Thanks for the link to the Sandias video. I watched the first couple of minutes from my work computer (big no no) and can’t wait to get home and watch the whole thing. My husband and I will enjoy watching it together. We visit New Mexico whenever we can.
