This is cropped from a photo taken by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) on October 18, 2007, apparently from a lunar orbiting satellite. The full-sized version of the image is here and well worth a look.

A long way from home

I wonder if people will ever get to see views like this on a regular basis. It certainly grabs my attention.
