And you know, this is a rift valley here. The plates are pulling apart just a few miles from where I'm typing. There are extinct (?) volcanoes all around, hot springs, etc. If there ever is a Great Big Shake, things are gonna POP in northern New Mexico... I just like to be melodramatic. You're not the one with 600 quakes shaking things up a mere 200 miles over your left shoulder. My advice to you, John, is to take the plunge and BUY some of that elusive Taos property NOW because before long it's going to be a primo coastal site for oceanview condos, with its price skyrocketing accordingly.
