Snow on the Way [Updated]

Someday I’ll do some more actual writing. For the moment, I have to go out into the lovely spring afternoon and chop some firewood, because we’re supposed to get SIX INCHES OF SNOW between midnight and noon on Thursday.

For the record, this hasn’t happened in any of the previous eight springs I’ve spent here. A flurry or two, sure, but not successive waves of actual storms. We had two inches of snow just last week that melted away in a single day. I took pictures, but I was so depressed, I didn’t post them.

I wore shorts yesterday. Not tomorrow, I guess.

UPDATE: Thursday morning, 8:40 a.m. — I think we dodged the bullet! I was praying for this. So far, nothing, and the forecast is still calling for half a foot by noon. But the snow line hasn’t dropped as far as they thought it would, and all we’ve had so far are a few flakes.

UPDATE#2: The winter weather advisory ends in 25 minutes. Two minutes ago it started snowing heavily. I am so sick of this.
