What’s not to like?

First off, not everyone is stupid! In fact, most of us aren’t, and this morning it’s bringing a smile to my face. Not worried about the economy, either. Our way of life is unsustainable: if things are falling apart, that’s why, and they need to fall apart. So let’s run this by again:

Most of us aren’t stupid.

Things are falling apart.

One could say that things are falling apart because most of us aren’t stupid, which is why I’m smiling: this is GOOD NEWS! Now is also a good time to practice not being upset over nasty things that haven’t happened yet. Hard, I grant you, but who wants to go out and buy a 50-pound sack of pinto beans, anyway?!

One thing at a time. Trust the process.

It’s an utterly beautiful pre-autumnal morning here in northern New Mexico — I may actually get a little work done for the first time in 10 days…

“History is replete with turning points, Valeris. We must have faith.”
“Faith?”
“That the Universe will unfold as it should.”
“But is that logical? Surely we must…”
“Logic, logic, logic… Logic is the beginning of wisdom, Valeris, not the end.”

–Capt. Spock & Lt. Valeris, “Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country”
