I swear it does.
So do not ever, under any circumstances, play a G.D. Armstrong Resophonic Bouzouki. It’ll suck the sin right out of you, and then where would you be? This sucker has the DEVIL in it, all right. Just look at it. It even has horns.

It was in open G tuning when I got it and I’ve never changed it. I can’t. Did I mention that this thing has the devil in it? It won’t let me, in other words. It won’t let me do anything except play and play and play. It growls. It snarls. It has to be one of the loudest acoustic anythings and makes the most outrageous noise. I’ve found the best way to play it is full-bore rockabilly style. (The devil, remember?)
Sorry there’s no audio yet. I get in a groove, see, and then I don’t want to stop to turn on my mini-disc recorder! (There needs to be a telepathic relay switch.) What happens then is that I go even deeper, so I won’t forget it later. Hah.
Devil stuff, I tell you.

John … the thing to do is to START the recorder first, and then ignore it … just start playing.
You can always edit out the rough starts before you get into a groove, fade in, fade out … whatever.
Looking forward to hearing some tunes from that demon sucker,
D.
I know, I know…
I need a better recorder. The damn mini-disc is so slow and awkward to fast-forward or “rewind,” for example. Drives me nuts.
for a (much) better recorder use your MacBook! either use the built-in mini-jack inputs or (better) get an inexpensive usb or firewire audio interface, use either a commercial app like Bias Peak or a good shareware app like Amadeus II for stereo recording/editing, and go to it!
oh duh!! that’s only if you want to get line in audio from your guitar amp or such. for the bouzouki it’s acoustic, so frankly the built in mic on the macbook should do just fine!
Jeez. John. PU-LEASE . please please. just a few wild thrashes ? This is an exotic instrument. We have no clue what it really sounds like.
