Poop & Soot [Updated]

Something — I think it’s a bobcat — is pooping on the roof. Burning piñon causes great gouts of icky black soot to be slathered on the snow up there. Meanwhile, Callie the Wonder Cat loves to climb the big elm tree up to the roof and investigate the bobcat scat, whereupon she ends up looking like she rolled around in the ash bucket.

Momma didn’t say there’d be days like this, but she should have.

UPDATE: Not a bobcat, but raccoons! That’s the latest theory. I wouldn’t hear a bobcat’s claws clicking on the skylight, now would I?
