But with the melting snow comes hideous, mind-boggling, car-destroying MUD and giant craters in the roads. I'm not kidding. It's absolutely horrible. It makes me not want to even walk out my front door, much less try to drive through downtown Taos, which is a complete disaster, road-wise. There are holes all over town that I swear would severely damage any vehicle that hit them at normal speed. (The High Road pavement was decent, of course.) Flat Ass Oklahoma may lack mountains, but be thankful the roads don't make you sick with what they do to decent automobiles. The other side of Paradise is Hell, so the reverse must also be true!
