Somehow my view got a little skewed by the "Jeppesen DataPlan Inc." case. Behind that seemingly harmless geek name were a crew of folks charged with renditions of "terror suspects." NPR has an article on it http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=100497730 . The lawyers, presumably under the new admin's influence, took the same tact used under Bush. I'm withholding judgement, choosing to view this as a transition event. It did unnerve me. The renditions were something ugly that I hoped would be strongly condemned. still hoping; Ed John
