New Client Site

I might as well advertise for this guy:

What’s been keeping me busy for the last 48 hours is the new website for ECOBUILDERSTAOS.COM. This is the site that I hadn’t even invented yet on Friday. It’s just a simple thing, hardly any content, but the client wanted me to use his business logo and the colors from his business card, which I did, even though I had to scramble up another CSS learning curve to get there.

What’s remarkable about this, however, is the software that allowed me to build the thing so fast: WordPress 2.7.1 and the amazing Thesis theme. I don’t ever want to edit an HTML page again. This approach is much more powerful: infinite customization and thousands of WordPress plugins to play with. The Photo Gallery at the new site is done with a free plugin, for instance. I’m truly impressed. All I had to do was upload images, and the plugin sliced and diced ‘em.

GOD am I exhausted. Had to be done by Monday, because of the client’s radio advertising. Tomorrow: another “need it yesterday” website for somebody else.

(And don’t be envious, I’m throwing it all at Mr. Visa…)

too bad you couldn’t work out a deal with ecobuilderstaos to exchange web work for a place to live ;-)

Haha!

The way things are going in this country, we’ll all be squatters, by and by. Anyway, that site won’t pay for more than six weeks rent.
