Yes, and doing very well.
I spent the day being mostly responsible, taking care of of overdue Web work for a few clients, sorting through the old emails, that kind of thing. The wind was howling under a partly cloudy sky, and I mean howling: last night it blew so hard, the chimney cap is in the sagebrush again, and I have no idea where. The heavy lawn chairs landed 15 feet away. It blew down the big aluminum ladder propped up against the corner of the house, and out of nowhere, there were tumbleweeds in the “patio” this morning. That’s more of an rarity than a sign of how windy it was, because it doesn’t take much to move those things. This wind could have rolled cast-iron tumbleweeds, and then some.
Spring is here, though. Check out this spy shot of a neighbor’s geraniums:

And growing along with everything else is this website. I take it by now that everyone has figured out that the daily image in the multimedia box (upper right) is actually a half-sized FotoFeed image, and that clicking on it opens a new window and takes you there? Good. FotoFeed itself will soon be running off a database, and when that’s up, you’ll be able to leave comments there. Thankfully, I just remembered that I hate when people tell you all the things they’re going to do, because it reminds me of all the times I’ve done that and it’s come to naught, so I’ll stop right here! But things are happening.
What I keep learning and relearning is that I have to take my time. To do this stuff right, I have to take my time. That’s hard to do because I guess I’m scared the world will end before I get caught up. (Man, is that ever a sure bet or what?)
Meanwhile, I keep getting these Linked-In updates in my email. I must be a member, and I know at least a couple of the people mentioned in each one. Generally I don’t follow up on these things, but perhaps I should. Linky, linky. Does this actually do any good? I noticed that Guy Kawasaki has taken down the social networking bookmarks on his blog and just left a “Share on Facebook” link.
Has everything peaked? Have I creatively procrastinated myself onto the bleeding edge?

John,
Love the geranium image. I have folder dedicated to just your photos and use them all as my screen saver. Keep ‘em coming!
That’s a perfect thing to do, Sherry! I’m happy for people to use any photographs of mine on their own computers. I’m about to post a GRACK! column with some good shots in it, but they may not be big enough for you. We’ll see…
