Miranda Canyon Preserve: Developer Fan Mail [Updated 2X]

Oh, they read FarrFeed!

I guess if I’ve achieved “hippie Dick Cheney” status, my work is done. This is in reference to a comment I left at a ludicrous attempt at propaganda via YouTube here. Why don’t you drop by and do the same before they figure out how to turn comments off? (Morons!) [Note: video has been taken down, see below!]

You really need to get you facts straight John. Just like all your posts on your ridiculous blog, you are the master of bullshit. You remind me of a hippie version of Dick Cheney, a warped and small minded man-child. If you had any relevance to anything you’d be dangerous.

I really recommend that you use whatever shreds of integrity left in that vacuous mind of yours to straighten out your Karma…

Wow, they get angry when they can’t just bulldoze and make money! In any event, taking spiritual instruction from real estate developers isn’t my thing, and hell, if I did have “any relevance to anything,” I would be dangerous! ;-)

On a serious note, I’m deeply surprised that this particular crew is so Web- and PR-challenged, as well as clueless about Taos. If they were proposing something good, we’d greet them as liberators. Um, so to speak. Man, I don’t know why I bother. A gang that was evil AND sophisticated would know not to lose its temper or treat locals like simpletons.

(And if they weren’t silly, I wouldn’t poke the bear!)

UPDATE: Blogs are amazing. This wouldn’t have happened just a few years ago. Anyway, there are new Web venues opening for this very issue, so all you hippie Dick Cheneys can get ready to fire up your keyboards, and I can go back to taking transcendental hikes and telling funny stories.

UPDATE #2: Silly developer video has been “removed by the user.” Why on earth, if it were true as alleged? (Morons w/ lawyers!)

They really think they can just walk in and develop a project that has no business being here (pools? this should be in California or Florida, not Taos), and expect no one to be concerned. Guess they better think again, as I am concerned as well…and so are a lot of other people. Not just “hippies”.

People like this ALWAYS think they can “just walk in and develop,” etc., like it’s some God-given or constitutional right to turn Nature into cash. They just don’t understand that times have changed and that the rest of us have moved on. I don’t bear the human beings involved any grudge or ill will whatsoever, of course. They’re just deluded and need help in discovering their inner human — their own souls, if you will.

There shouldn’t even be any controversy over this development. It should be laughed out of the Planning Commission and may very well be.

I feel a compulsion each day when first logging on to these internet tubes to visit FarrFeed before tackling the daily fare of e-mail with its rants, adverts and trivia…. I invariably find that John’s stories of his past and present experiences reflect his humor, intelligence and passion. I learn something from each–sometimes they make my whole day…But today, I’m both pissed and saddened that one of the vast legions of pygmy-brained ignorami on YouTube has sought to flame and defame Mr. Farr’s persona and good works.
A pox on the vast and vacuous horde of You Tubers.

Thank you for the kind words, Byron!

However, it’s not the legion of You Tubers I’m talking about, but one specific person involved with the Miranda Canyon Preserve. A friend of mine said I’d taken “a hit from the eye of Mordor.” :-)

Congrats on winning the first battle! You can’t win ‘em all unless you win the first one. But it ain’t over until you cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand, ya know.
