The Fiestas have come and gone — las Fiestas de Santiago y Santa Ana, to be precise — but not before I whipped out my Kodak Zi6 and made myself obnoxious walking through the crowd!

This is another famous atmospheric video. If you’re lucky, you can almost taste the funnel cakes and Frito pie:

A funnel cake is your basic bread or doughnut batter, only dribbled through a funnel into boiling fat. :-) This hot, greasy, fried mess is dumped onto a paper plate and then doused with powdered sugar or honey. You eat it w/ your fingers. Navajo fry bread is almost the same thing, only without the funnel, just a blob of dough.

I know there’s an Aussie equivalent. This kind of food is universal.
