For your Saturday morning listening pleasure!

The following is sociological and historical statement as well as music. It was recorded in around ‘72 or ‘73 at one of the many gigs I played with John and the band. I’m on rhythm guitar here. This is one of John Clay’s best-known songs, and we played it every time. One of the most interesting things about my being able to post this is that Blip.fm grabbed it from this very website! Just click on the Audio button in the menu bar above and jump down to the Lost Austin Band section. There are plenty more where this came from.

Excellent, and glad to hear from you! Leo keeps after me to put more MP3s of John’s stuff on my audio page, and some day I will. I hope to get back to Austin–the town– and see them both before all of us are dead.

The last time I looked into a mirror, I thought I’d better hurry.
