I know what you mean. I married a girl from Iowa almost 30 years ago and am afforded the same privileges. This defies all rational explanation.

And BTW, I’m generally refraining from political whining and gnashing of teeth these days — another miracle of sorts — mainly because you’ve been right all along about these bastards, and they can all go suck turtle eggs.

A lot of people were born in Panama, including my 2 children and John McCain. He was born in the Canal Zone which was “Leased in Perpetuity”. It was still not U. S. soil. We ignored the Constitution. He should not have been allowed to run.
Back 47 years ago In all the bars, a great delicacy was canned asparagus. At that time, I married a Panamanian. She still lets me sleep with her every night. Miracle of miracles!

I’m glad to know that raw turtle eggs aren’t served with beer in El Salvador anymore, because that means it’s safe to have a drink!

Wish I had an intelligent question to ask about Panama. I still need to get out more.

I guess I have eaten a lot of spirits. I’ve eaten both rabbit and iguana. Rabbit is better than dead chicken and iguana is just as good. We hunted iguanas in Panama with dogs. Of course, in northern Michigan we hunted rabbits with dogs.
But things have changed in Panama and El Salvador. Free raw turtle eggs were served with beer. No more.
