Astrological Breakdown Blues

Well, here’s another take. And say what you will, this one resonates.

There’s a blog called Raging Universe that features seldom-posted intuitive takes on society informed by astrological observations. Whoever writes this is ever-so-much-more careful about their personal identity than I am, so I can’t tell you much there, but the writer is sometimes spot-on. There’s a piece up today called “Pluto Gets to Work” that pretty much describes what I’ve been feeling lately:

The Veil Dissolves
Jupiter Conjunct Neptune

So it came to pass. Collective illusions so diligently maintained have melted away revealing just how corrupt and ill-behaved our political officials really are. It’s difficult to miss. An excellent study in how they operate. The stabbing, bribing, stealing, and most of all — lying — have aligned to expose the plutocracy in action with its unattractive appetite for power creating a depressing drama available in each and every home for the pleasure of the viewing audience. The pecking keys are certainly registering the alarm.

People are angry with the government. The battle is on. It always is, really. This one can be classified in the “war of necessity” category. The Saturn-Uranus-Pluto days are as good as here and it’s getting time to consolidate and mobilize. The disease in the system demands a cure. The promised unity does appear to be happening after all but not quite for the reasons predicted.

There’s more good stuff, like so:

So the breakdown is upon us. It’s far from reform. There’s nothing to reform. What’s happening now is a panicked attempt to medicate the sickness with impotent measures, trying to keep the entity functioning…

I can’t get anywhere with the wonks with this. The blogosphere is going crazy now, anyway. I’ve stirred up a couple minor ruckuses already by interjecting “feelings” into political debates on a couple of comment sections. I’m nothing, though. There are some HUGE waves of outrage and lunacy rolling through, and just now I’m wondering, what the hell am I doing there? I have never seen it so ugly, but then that just confirms the breakdown part.

Concerning the larger picture, however — work with me here — it’s nice to have some backup. So that’s why I like this writer. I do think things are breaking down, and it’s hard to argue that a lot of this isn’t obvious. Breaking down, and shifting, consolidating. I’ve felt this for a long time.

Even political blogger Jane Hamsher said today, “The ground is shifting. You can feel it.” She wouldn’t come within 100 miles of any astrological take on politics, but she’s expressing essentially the same idea.

You can feel it, all right. It’s okay, though, nothing to be afraid of at all.

I have always looked to astrology to show me whey things are the way they are. The stars showed the revolution on the 60s. They tell the history of the invasion of the conquistadores, not just here, but globally. And I absolutely believe that whatever is happening in the world is SUPPOSED to be happening for the simple reason that it IS happening. I find sitting back and watching the world unfold just as effective, more entertaining, less stressful and less tiring as fighting it.

Well, you’re way ahead of me, at least in the watching things unfold category. I still think I have to fight and have constant inner battles over that. Sometimes I think I should just shut up, but then I think if there’s fighting going on, I’ll be in sync with the universe by spouting off! That’s my view at the moment, and it does eliminate the inner battle for a time (just DO it, etc.).

Anyway, I agree with you about the relevance of astrological data. I don’t know why I should ignore the obvious.
