Yes, I know it’s spring. That’s why I decided to amuse you by publishing the whole forecast:

… Winter Storm Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM
MDT Wednesday…

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow… which is in effect
from midnight tonight to 6 PM MDT Wednesday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Snow accumulations… expect 8 to 15 inches over the Sangre de
Cristo Mountains slopes… with 5 to 10 inches over the upper Rio
Grande Valley. Over higher slopes and summits… expect 12 to 20
inches of fresh snow. For the northeast plains… expect 4 to 8
inches of fresh snow.

* Timing… rain mixed with snow this evening over valleys and
lower slopes will change over to all snow by morning… with snow
continuing over higher slopes and summits overnight. Snow will
continue through Wednesday night before tapering off by early
Thursday morning.

* Winds… north and northeast winds gusting to 35 mph will develop
late tonight and continue through the day on Wednesday before
tapering off gradually Wednesday night.

* Snow levels… snow levels near 8000 feet will fall rapidly to
the surface overnight… with snow levels remaining at the
surface through Wednesday night.

* Local impacts… heavy snow will disrupt travel… especially on
Interstate 25 across Colfax County to the Colorado line at Raton
Pass… and across highways 64 and 87… and Highway 56. Gusty
winds combined with blowing and drifting snow will produce
locally poor visibilities… snow packed roads… significant
travel delays and possible Road closures.

UPDATE: The official National Weather Service site says no more than two or three inches. The forecast above comes from Weather Underground. As of this update at 9:18 p.m. MDT, both forecasts are still live on the Web. So okay, we’re in for between two and 20 inches. I guess that settles it.

Saw a documentary called “Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa”.
I think it was filmed close to you. Ever heard of it?

I never make fun of anyone, John. The golden rule rules! I have no comment about weather. I gave into it’s arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable nature 72 years ago. But bumpers – that is another matter!
