Sixth Street Pedicab (Video)

“I want to have a hangover for Teresa’s memorial, so let’s go get hammered,” my brother said.

My own agenda that night in Austin had more to do with sleep, but duty called. We met my other sister’s boyfriend at the hotel and walked downtown to the first of several loud, dimly-lit establishments full of tattooed people and evil brews like “Hairy Eyeball” (almost 10% alcohol). I was in a state of altered consciousness after just a quarter of a pint, but pressed on somehow. By the end of the evening, my head was pounding, no matter how much water I drank. I think humidity and tobacco smoke did most of the damage, but remember, if anybody offers you a Hairy Eyeball, he’s probably trying to steal your wallet or get your pants off.

Somehow in the midst of all this, my brother the Pedicab Pro (in Austin, call 512.731.0617 or text) decided we needed a pedicab ride. The three of us surely totaled well over 600 pounds, and I know he gave our guy a nice big tip. You can follow the action above if you’re so inclined.

(Good luck!)
