Taos in the Rain (Video)

It rained all afternoon the other day, starting while I was walking downtown. Except for a few tourists, the place was almost quiet, after a fashion. (You can read about it here.)

I shot a little video, of course. Nothing fancy, just more atmospheric stuff. There’s a cool blacked-out Harley in there, something you might see while standing underneath the portal [por-TAHL] on the Plaza or sitting outside at the World Cup, slurping that latte and looking at the traffic. That’s what I did. I’d have loved to put the coffee ladies on YouTube, too, but I’m shy about sticking a camera in people’s faces. There’s definitely some magic in that place, though.

Taos in the rain, have a look:

Almost everything I post to YouTube is HD these days, BTW. I don’t have the embedded video set to play HD automatically to save you download time, but if you want to see the highest quality video, just set the resolution to 720p.

Love the Lotaburger truck! Just had a Lotaburger the other day after not having one for years and years, and frankly, as long as I’m in New Mexico I’ll never eat at Wendy’s again.

Yeah, that makes it! It’s the secret prize for anyone who watches all the way to the end.
